We were delighted with our accommodation at Bryn Melyn Guest House. Our room had a huge window with a magnificent view overlooking the township, the sea and a rail bridge. The owners regularly feed the birds along their stone fence and from our window, we could watch a variety of birds sharing food with the squirrels. The excellent breakfast was served downstairs while we enjoyed the wonderful setting.
We would have liked to stay longer!

The owners were professional and very welcoming. Very happy to advise on local eateries, places to visit and general local information. Breakfast was excellent, super choice and freshly cooked, service was attentive but unobtrusive and friendly. Views from room as advertised and quite spectacular.
Television reception was a bit tempermental, however we spent little time in our room so not a problem.

David and Heather were very friendly and ever so helpful. Great location with marvellous views and variety of birds at the bird table. Shame that we left to early to have the breakfast but this place can't be faulted. Overall, 10/10

If you could designe the perfect short break from scratch David & Heather's Bryn Melyn b&b would be it . They themselves are the perfect Hosts always willing to help and satisfy their guests. But what takes the prize is the magnificent situation of the b&b itself. Views to die for. Each room seems to have breathtaking views and even when the weather is bad just to sit at one of the windows and take it all in is worth the stay.I Could not give a higher recomondation than to say that I have been all over the world but the 3 days I spent at Bryn Melyn will stay with me forever. Friendly staff, excellent rooms, stunning view over estuary and excellent breakfast.
The walk from the town was a little steep, but inexpensive taxi ride was the answer.

Very friendly and helpful owners and a lovely location with sea views. Unusually for a b&b or guest house, Bryn Melyn has a very pleasant bar, stocked with some interesting local beers, ciders and even gin! Ideal base for seaside or Snowdonia-related activities. Cycle-friendly, with the use of a shed to keep my bike overnight.

The views were absolutely beautiful, the owners were so pleasant and friendly and I have never known anywhere else as dog friendly as here. Our room was warm, inviting, very clean and tidy. Our bathroom was modern and very clean. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuit provisions were a plenty. We arrived at 10.15pm and David was still exceptionally welcoming and happy to stop and chat to us before showing us to our room. Breakfast was lovely with lots to choose from and I mean lots and watching the birds and tame pheasant out of the window was a bonus! We will definitely be coming again. The guest house is up a steep bank and you do have to drive past entrance, turn and approach from other way but no problems.
That we could only stay one night due to our other commitments!!!

A nicely updated establishment in a good location. The welcome was warm and unobtrusive. Our room was newly redecorated with good views across the estuary. Breakfast was nice with a decent choice. The acess is tight as it is on a hill with a tight bend but actually just driving past and turning round made life much simpler. A 10-15 minute walk down/up a steep path into Barmouth was no issue though would be for elderly/less able physically guests.
